The body easily absorbs Vitamin C, so it reacts to it rapidly. It is an antioxidant, protecting our cells and reducing the negative impacts of toxic elements in the body. One glass of lemon water helps trigger the digestion process.

Our bodies have an immense amount of water and the cells require it for carrying out metabolic processes. It is essential that we feed our bodies with the recommended amount of fluids. Many people deprive themselves of water out of fear that they will have to go to the toilet too often, but it is the better alternative when the other option is the hospital.

You can drink lemon water in any form: cold or warm. When you first get up in the morning, one cold glass of lemon water will wake up your metabolism. It will also refresh you in the best way and prepare you to be active throughout the day. Before bed, drinking a warm cup of lemon water can help relieve stress and relax your body.
 

Remember, Excess Is Never Good

There is little risk of experiencing a Vitamin C overdose, but excessive levels of acid in the body can cause discomfort, heartburn or reflux. Too much could also cause teeth erosion.

It is good to consume 2-3 glasses of lemon water every day. The recommended amount is 3 tablespoons of lemon juice for 1 Lt of water.
